Lazada Thailand, the e-commerce arm of Alibaba in Asean, plans to target female users in Thailand, hoping to attract younger shoppers and online merchants to beat rivals in social commerce. The conditions ensure that Lazada will continue to invest here, said Thanida Suiwatana, chief of marketing for Lazada Thailand. In e-commerce, 85% of all brand purchases are made by female users, while 22% of them shop online at least once a day, according to She-conomy.com. In the first quarter of 2019, the number of Lazada Thailand's female buyers rose by 8%. In the first quarter, beauty products contributed 36% and fashion 29% of total products at Lazada Thailand.
